Galvanized corrugated sheet is also known as corrugated galvanized iron sheet, abbreviated CGI sheet or GI corrugated sheet. It is a building material, which combines steel and zinc coating, which makes it corrosion resistant. The corrugations increase the bending strength of the sheet, which is profiled using the process of roll forming. Through different rolling dies, it will form different corrugations. After the steel sheet passes through the rollers, it will be sheared off at a desired length.
Notes on Installation of GI Corrugated Sheet
1. Use screws, bolts, and other metal connections that are galvanized during installation. This will prevent rusting at the joints.
2. The edges of the corrugated metal sheets are very sharp. You’d better frame it with foam or other items to prevent injury.
