Single Strand Barbed Wire: As the name implies, it is made with a single steel wire (line wire) by twisting with machine. The barbs also have four points (by twisting two-point wires, every two turns). They are tightly around a single line wire making four turns.

Double Strand Barbed Wire: It consists of double line wires and many barb wires. There are two types: reverse twisted barbed wire and traditional twisted barbed wire. The former looks similar to single-strand barbed wire. The barb wires are wrapped around the line wire and look uniform. But it is stronger. While the latter one is that two wires are twisted into two-point wires and then the barb wires cross the double line wires.
