FORMING
Beam and angle forming is a process used to bend an iron to a specific degree or angle.Typically beam forming differs from angle iron rolling, in that it is more concerned with forming the angle iron to a specific angle or degree, rather than a curve or radius. Beam forming processes use applied force to a piece of sheet metal to modify its geometry rather than remove any material, often using a die to create specific shapes (ie I Beams, Tees, etc). The applied force stresses the metal beyond its yield strength, causing the material to deform, but not to fail. By doing so, the sheet can be bent or stretched into a variety of complex shapes.
POLISHING
Polishing of stainless steels has a number of practical benefits. First, polishing stainless steels enhances the physical appearance of the product. Stainless is often used in store fronts, lobbies, airports and public transit systems to name a few. Stainless polishing also has a number of sanitary benefits required by the food & beverage, pharmaceutical and the chemical process industries.
POSITIVE MATERIAL IDENTIFICATION (PMI)
In some cases, it may be necessary to complete additional positive material identification testing. Kuaima Steel can complete this testing in house or we can work with an independent laboratory to complete the testing.
